WigJig Newsletter for July 6, 2003

We are continuing to improve our newsletter, so please feel free to provide feedback at custsrv@wigjig.com.

New Products:
We now have new style of Swarovski round beads with 25 facets in both 4mm and 6mm.  These beads come in a wide variety of colors and can be found here and here.  The 25 faceted Swarovski beads are less expensive per bead than the 50 faceted Swarovski round beads that we also sell.  (To find the count of beads per package in our Internet store, select either the picture or the name of the beads to navigate to a page of detailed information on that bead including the bead count per package.)  The following earrings use these new beads in 4mm and 6mm sizes.  All three of these earring designs are variations of our project for this week, the Beaded Swag Earrings.

ON SALE:
We update the items we have "On Sale" with every newsletter.  A small sample of the products we currently have for sale at a discount are shown below.  Please click on any of the text below the pictures to view our entire list of sale items.  Quantities are limited for these items so please shop early.  This sale will be effective from July 6th through July 18th, 2003.  Please note that we have some of our new round 25 faceted Swarovski beads on sale.

FREE JEWELRY MAKING DESIGN:
With every newsletter we provide a free design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices.  This newsletter's free design is the Beaded Swag Earrings shown at right.  These earrings are relatively easy to make using soft wire, some chain, head pins and beads.  Instructions for making these earrings can be found here.  As shown above, there are numerous slight modifications to these earrings that can be made to change the size and style of these earrings.  Our free instructions describe how to complete several of these modifications.

Technique of the week:
Our WigJig University wire-working technique for this newsletter is how to make a wire Christmas tree.  This project is a Christmas in July project for those of you who want to start getting ready for Christmas now.  Making this Christmas tree requires 18 inches of soft wire to make a figure about 2 1/2 to 3 inches tall.  With 24 inches of wire, the Christmas tree will be about 3 1/2 inches tall. Our instructions for making this piece can be found here.

This WigJig jewelry making newsletter is provided as part of WigJig University.  We try to provide interesting jewelry projects using beads, jewelry wire and other jewelry supplies.  We hope that these pictures will provide you enough information for you to complete this project.  Some of the skills and jewelry making techniques have not been discussed here.  For beginners, we suggest that you visit our Beginners Start Here pages. These pages discuss the skills necessary for making jewelry in the detail that beginners need. We also suggest that beginners to jewelry making might need to visit the WigJig University College of Jewelry Making Techniques for additional information about some of the skills and techniques shown.

Most, but not all of the jewelry supplies shown here can be purchased in our WigJig store.  We try to have a complete selection of jewelry supplies in our store including chain, wire, glass beads, findings, watches, tools, etc.
