If you are unable to view all the file formats you can always view the entire newsletter at:  http://www.wigjig.com/newitems/

New Store:
We have upgraded the software that we use to deliver our Internet store.  The new software is more reliable and provides several new functions that were not available in our old software suite.  As in every change, the new store has a few disadvantages.  Unfortunately, the new store will not recognize customers from the old store during their first transaction.  After the first transaction, you will be recognized and the store should know your address information.  Please send us an e-mail at custsrv@wigjig.com if you have any problems with the new software.

ON SALE:
We update the items we have "On Sale" with every newsletter.  A small sample of the products we currently have for sale at a discount are shown below.  Please click on any of the text below the pictures to view our entire list of sale items.  Quantities are limited for these items so please shop early.  This sale will be effective from October 29th through November 7th, 2003.

FREE JEWELRY MAKING DESIGN:
With every newsletter we provide a free design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices.  This newsletter's free design is the design for the Lock Back Earrings with the Loop shown at right. This is a modification to the design for the Lock Back Earrings that were included in a prior newsletter.  You can view instructions for how to make these earrings here

We also have a bonus design.  The design below shows how to make a quick key chain. This key chain uses a single large bead and some commercial chain.  For this project, a Paula Radke Dichroic Glass bead was used to add decorative flair to our key chain.  To view instructions on how to make the key chain select here

Tip of the week:
How to glue end cap beads.  The end cap bead shown at the bottom of the earrings at right is glued in place using Jeweler's Cement.  This weeks tip is a simple method to make this easier and stronger.  The tip is very simple -- just file the wire where it would be inserted into the End Cap Bead.  Filing the wire with a jeweler's file or a nail file will make the end of the wire smaller and allow more room to insert the wire in the end cap bead and will add texture to the wire that will allow the Jeweler's Cement to make a stronger bond.  Be careful as you file so that you do not file the wire where it would be exposed.  You don't want the file marks to show in the finished piece.

This WigJig jewelry making newsletter is provided as part of WigJig University.  We try to provide interesting jewelry projects using beads, jewelry wire and other jewelry supplies.  We hope that these pictures will provide you enough information for you to complete this project.  Some of the skills and jewelry making techniques have not been discussed here.  For beginners, we suggest that you visit our Beginners Start Here pages. These pages discuss the skills necessary for making jewelry in the detail that beginners need. We also suggest that beginners to jewelry making might need to visit the WigJig University College of Jewelry Making Techniques for additional information about some of the skills and techniques shown.

Most, but not all of the jewelry supplies shown here can be purchased in our WigJig store.  We try to have a complete selection of jewelry supplies in our store including chain, wire, glass beads, findings, watches, tools, etc.
