FREE JEWELRY MAKING DESIGN:
With every newsletter we provide a free design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices. This newsletter's free design is the design for the Delicate Wrapped Link shown at right. This component can be made on any WigJig and only requires three regular, metal pegs. You can view instructions for how to make this bracelet and earring set here. Jewelry Making Technique:
After the holiday season, we normally receive an influx of folks who are new to working in wire. While we have a lot of information on our web site that is focused on helping beginners to get started, we haven't in the past organized this information so that it was easy to find. We have just posted 11 new pages to our Web site that is focused on helping beginners and pointing them to the appropriate sections of our web site. Please select here to view the first of these new pages along with the information to navigate through all 11 new pages. Hopefully, even our more experienced readers might find some tip that will help improve their wire working. The basic skills that are discussed are how to cut wire, how to straighten wire, how to bend wire, how to make a loop, how to open and close loops, how to make a bead dangle, how to make a figure 8 connector, how to make a pair of simple earrings, how to make wire components on a WigJig, and how to connect wire components using the wrapped bead link.

This WigJig jewelry making newsletter is provided as part of WigJig University. We try to provide interesting jewelry projects using beads, jewelry wire and other jewelry supplies.
