We now have two options for ear wires in stainless steel for those who are allergic to silver or gold. You can view these two options below. The ear post on the left is all stainless steel. Free Jewelry Design:
With every newsletter we provide a free jewelry design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices. This newsletter's free design is the design for the Caged Beads Earrings shown at right. This design uses a WigJig Spiral Maker to make a spiral with a long central shaft. 8mm beads are threaded onto the central shaft and then the spiral is pulled up and over the beads. The earrings are finished by connecting to a commercial ear wire finding. These earrings can be made with any 8mm beads. They look great with Swarovski Austrian Crystal and they look great with almost any semi-precious gemstone. You can find instructions for making these earrings here.

Jewelry Technique:
This weeks jewelry technique is the technique for making a toggle clasp out of jewelry wire. The clasp shown at right is made of Artistic Wire in the color purple. This clasp design can be used for necklaces and is one way to use colored wire and have findings that match. The clasp at right is shown larger than actual size. The real clasp has a diameter of the circular component of 1/2 inch. Select either the pictures or the name at right to view our step-by-step instructions.
