This week we have a jewelry design by a guest contributor. The necklace at right was made by Gwenda Rabelink of The Netherlands approximately two weeks after she received her WigJig Centaur. Gewnda started making jewelry when she was 12 years old. She had gotten away from this hobby until a year ago, she began searching on the Internet for sources for beads and tools. Fortunately for us, she managed to find our WigJig web site and ultimately placed an order. After receiving her order she was so pleased with the results that she sent us a picture of her latest project. This design is her own and is not documented on our web site. If you have any questions for Gwenda, she was very kind and allowed us to provide her e-mail address. If you wish to contact her she can be reached at wonderwoman28gmr@hotmail.com. Many people have asked us for better ways to print pages from our web site. One way that may help is to highlight the appropriate part of our web page using your mouse then select the drop down menu "File" followed by the command "Print". When the Print box opens, select the option "Selection". This will print the highlighted text and pictures and will enable printing of our web pages without the Internet header and footer. We hope this helps.

Design: With every newsletter we provide a new jewelry design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices. The new design for this newsletter is the design for the 4 Dangle Earrings shown at right. These earrings are a new method of making a design that we had documented earlier. We believe that this new technique for making the earrings will be easier and quicker, which in the long run means that it is a smarter way to make these earrings. This design was made on one our our jigs with a square peg pattern (Olympus, Olympus Lite, Delphi or Centaur), although this design could be easily adapted to a jig with a round peg pattern. These earrings are made with 20 or 18 gauge wire. This jewelry making project is relatively simple to complete and is considered an advanced beginner's project. To view our instructions for how to make this jewelry item please select either the picture or the title at right. |
