WigJig News:

Our plans for shows for 2006 have changed.  We now plan on attending the Tucson Best Bead Show January 31 through February 4th.  This show will be at the Kino Community Center.  We will be demonstrating our WigJig tools in the Soft Flex Booth at the back of the auditorium.  Remember look for Soft Flex we won't have our WigJig name on the booth.

We want people to use our designs and everyone is authorized to sell our designs for jewelry that they make.  With that said, we would like to do something to help people who are making and selling jewelry.  Our experience has been that it isn't always obvious which designs will sell best.  We don't try to sell our jewelry, but we do go to shows and display our jewelry.  At these shows we occasionally get customers who want to purchase our jewelry.  To our surprise, we get more offers for our "Money" Earrings than almost any other design.

We understand that many of the subscribers to our newsletter are selling jewelry made using designs derived from the projects shown in our WigJig web site.   We would like to build a new web page showing our jewelry designs that sell well based upon inputs from our newsletter subscribers.  If you are selling jewelry, please send us an e-mail and tell us which of our designs sell well for you.  We will share this information on the Internet and believe that it will help everyone to be able to improve their jewelry sales.

Vanessa Gilkes Jewelry Making ProjectThis week we have two guest contributors.  The design on the left was contributed by Suzan Suzan Gran Jewelry Making ProjectGran of Connecticut.  Suzan calls this design "My LIttle Teapots".  Suzan reports that she  has already sold a pair of her Little Teapots.

On the right, the picture of the wire doll in the frame was contributed by Vanessa Gilkes of Pennsylvania.  Vanessa says she made this doll using our WigJig Olympus.  Vanessa plans on selling copies of this doll, but she hasn't found the right market yet.

Our thanks go to Suzan and Vanessa for sharing these designs with us.  If you have questions Suzan can be reached at szcarver@mindspring.com and Vanessa can be reached at flowergurl4eva@gmail.com

Falling Raindrop Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectFalling Raindrop Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectFalling Raindrop Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectFalling Raindrop Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectWith every newsletter we provide a new jewelry design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices.  The new design for this newsletter is the design for the Falling Raindrop Earrings shown here.  If these earrings were to be made without the chain shown, connecting the raindrop component directly to your ear wire, they would be just Raindrop Earrings.  With the chain they are Falling Raindrops.

These earring were made using any of our WigJig tools, one metal peg and a single 7/16" Super Peg. The earrings on the right were made with 20 gauge 1/2 hard wire.  The earrings on the left were made with 18 gauge 1/2 hard wire.  All four earrings shown were made with an 8mm round bead in the center with a size 11 seed bead on either side.

Silvered Rainbow Necklace Jewelry Making ProjectSivered Rainbow Necklace Jewelry Making DesignWe are adding a new feature to our newsletter.  We call it Nostalgia Corner because we are revisiting past designs.  This weeks featured design in our Nostalgia Corner is the Silvered Rainbow Necklace.  The links in this necklace are made of 21 gauge square sterling silver wire that has been doubled and twisted together.  The beads shown are our Bead Slices.  Most of our Bead Slices are hand blown glass beads made by David Christensen.  You can view our selection of Bead Slices here.  You can view our Silvered Rainbow Necklace by selecting either picture.
