WigJig News:

This will be our last newsletter before the Best Bead show in Tucson.  For those of you who missed our last newsletter, we will be attending the Tucson Best Bead Show January 31 through February 4th.  This show will be at the Kino Community Center.  We will be demonstrating our WigJig tools in the Soft Flex Booth at the back of the auditorium.  Sue Ingram Earrings Jewley Making DesignRemember look for Soft Flex we won't have our WigJig name on the booth.

This week we have two more guest contributors.  The earring design on the right was contributed by Sue Ingram from Great Britain.  Sue calls this type of design a coiled bead setting.  Sue has many similar designs that can be viewed on her web site at http://www.sueingram.co.uk.Garmer Necklace Jewelry Making Project

The necklace shown on the left was made by Jeff Garmer of Pennsylvania.  This project is one of several WigJig projects that Jeff and his wife Colette teach in their classes in the Tarentum, Pennsylvania area.  You can view their web site at http://www.garmerjewelry.com

Our thanks go to Susan and Jeff for sharing these designs with us.  Both Jeff and Susan can be reached through their web sites.

We have not had the Twist 'n' Curl tools in stock for many months.  After a prolonged wait, we now have the Twist 'n' Curl back in stock.  You can view the Twist 'n' Curl in our Internet store here.

Designs that Sell:

We understand that many of the subscribers to our newsletter are selling jewelry made using designs derived from the projects shown in our WigJig web site.   We would like to build a new web page showing our jewelry designs that sell well based upon inputs from our newsletter subscribers.  If you are selling jewelry, please send us an e-mail and tell us which of our designs sell well for you.  We will share this information on the Internet and believe that it will help everyone to be able to improve their jewelry sales.

Since our last newsletter we received input on what designs sell well from several subscribers to our newsletter.  The feed back that we have received so far was that the following designs sell well:

Free Jewelry Design:
Spiral Link Bracelet Jewelry Making Project Made with Amethyst BeadsSpiral Link Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectWith every newsletter we provide a new jewelry design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices.  The new design for this newsletter is the design for the Spiral Link Earrings and Bracelet shown here.  The spiral is a difficult wire component to use as a link in a jewelry piece, it is far easier to use a spiral as the bottom of an earring.  This design modifies that basic spiral so that it can be used as a link in earrings, bracelet or necklaces.

These earring were made using any of our WigJig tools using the Spiral Maker accessory for that jig.  The earrings used 20 gauge soft wire.  The Spirals in the bracelets were made with 18 gauge soft wire.

Clasp Jewelry Making FindingThis weeks jewelry making technique is a new page of instructions on how to make clasp findings.  We frequently get requests for instructions on how to make clasps and we have several designs for clasps on our web site.  We have assembled a new web page with links to all of our instructions for making clasps.  You can view this new web page here.  Most of the designs shown on this new web page will be instructions from the free portion of our web site.  One design is from one of our online books.

Twist 'n' Curl Designer Wire Beads Necklace Jewelry Making ProjectWe are adding a new feature to our newsletter.  We call it Nostalgia Corner because we are revisiting past designs.  This weeks featured design in our Nostalgia Corner is the Twist 'n' Curl Designer Wire Beads Necklace.  The links in this necklace are made on the Twist 'n' Curl tool.  We have not had the Twist 'n' Curl in stock since last spring.  Fortunately, now the Twist 'n' Curl is back in stock.  You can find the instructions for making this necklace by selecting the picture at right.  You can view the Twist 'n' Curl in our Internet store here.
