More Bling Diamond Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectBling Necklace Jewelry Making Project with Aqua CZ in Round Pendant SettingMore Bling for Less Cha-Ching™.  We had a lot of success with our new man-made gemstones and CZs in our last newsletter.  In fact we had so much success that we sold out of our sterling silver pendant findings in the first 24 hours.  We have now restocked our sterling silver pendant findings and now have them in both 6mm and 8mm sizes and in round and square settings.  The necklace shown at right uses our 8mm Aqua CZ, item 3145,  in a round sterling silver setting, item 3151.  The chain for this necklace is our sterling silver medium figaro chain, item 2615.  Our new findings are shown at the end of our "Bling" department after all the  man-made gemstones and CZs.

In our next newsletter we anticipate announcing some new colors of our man-made gemstones and CZs.

Haitian Jewelry Making ProjectOur guest contributor to this newsletter is Lynn Bowen.  Lynn did not make the components shown here, but she did teach a group of 7 Haitians the skills necessary for the Haitians to make the pieces.  Lynn is part of a charity effort that has helped Haitians to form the "Christian Jewelry Company of Haiti".  There web site is http://www.haiticrafts.com/.  The story of this charity is definitely worth reading.  We suggest that you visit their web site both to read their story, and to view the jewelry designs.  Their jewelry is for sale and most of it is made with wire and beads using patterns similar to the patterns on our WigJig web site.  You can contact Lynn or the Christian Jewelry Company of Haiti through the contact information on their web site.  We want to thank Lynn for sharing this design with us.

Baded Cell Phone Leash Jewelry Making Project Free Jewelry Design:
With every newsletter we provide a new jewelry design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices.  The new design for this newsletter is the design for the Beaded Cell Phone Leash shown here.  What do you need when you want to take your cell phone with you, but don't have a pocket to carry it?  Obviously, you need a cell phone leash.  This leash slips over your wrist and allows the phone to dangle.  Simply stated, this leash is made of a chain 3 inches longer than the circumference of your hand.  This allows 1" of space for getting the leash on and off and 2 inches of chain to connect to your cell phone.  In the leash shown at right, we used 6mm round, white cat's eye beads plus size 6 black seed beads to make our beaded chain.  When you are ready to take your cell phone for a walk, we suggest you consider a beaded cell phone leash.  To view our instructions for how to make this jewelry item please select here or select the picture at right.

Past Techniques:
We maintain a techniques web page that provides links to the discussion of techniques in our prior newsletters.  You can visit this web page here.  Follow the links on that page to the Inverted V Ear Wire Finding Jewelry Making Techniquediscussion of the technique in that newsletter.

Jewelry Technique:
This weeks jewelry making technique is a discussion of how to make the Inverted "V" Ear Wire Finding shown at right.  This finding is a rather unique ear wire, made from 20 gauge round half-hard wire.  The patterns we provide for making this ear wire use any of our jigs with a square peg pattern, including our WigJig Delphi, Centaur, Olympus or Olympus-Lite.  The pattern also uses a 3/16" and a 3/8" Super Peg for the same jig.  Because of the shape of this ear wire and the weight of the lampwork bead shown here, these earrings are unlikely to come off accidentally during normal wear.  This is a beginner's jewelry making project.  Please select the picture above-right, or select here to view this new jewelry making information.

Paper Clip Earrings Jewelry Making Project Made with Burgundy BeadsNostalgia Corner:
This weeks featured design in our Nostalgia
Corner is the design for another unique ear wire finding.  These ear wire findings are called Paper Clip Ear Wires.    Our Paper Clip Earrings can be made using any of our WigJig tools with a Spiral Maker or the 7/8" Super Peg for that jig.  They use 20 gauge half-hard wire and can be finished with either an open loop, or a wrapped loop for connecting your bead dangle.  Our Paper Clip Earrings are easy to make and tend to get noticed for the simple reason that they are different.  If wearing something unique appeals to you, consider our Paper Clip Earrings, or our Inverted "V" Ear Wire Findings above.  Please select here, or select the picture at right to view our instructions for making the Paper Clip Earrings.
