New Store: We have corrected the links to "Zoom Photo" for the products in our new store. These links should be working now.
Guest Contributors: First, our apologies to Hedrian Badalvarda of Iran. In our last newsletter, we had incorrectly labeled Hedrian as a he. She isn't. We hope that she forgives us.
Second, we have two guest contributors this newsletter. The
first is Lisa Vernon's Halloween necklace shown at left. Lisa works
for Soft Flex Company in Sonoma, CA and has been making jewelry for her
friends for years. Since we missed this Halloween, we will work with
Lisa to develop instructions for making this necklace for next Halloween.
Finally, we also have a series of pictures of jewelry from Ken VanDe Walker of Olean, New York. Ken formerly made and held classes in how to make stained glass. At present, Ken is holding classes in how to make jewelry using our WigJig tools. You can view more of Ken's jewelry by selecting the picture at right. You will see that Ken has used square wire (like the earrings here) and twisted square wire to add interest and variety to his jewelry. Ken can be reached at kencraft66@hotmail.com or via telephone at 716-373-5125. Ken is working on his own web site, if you send him an e-mail, he can let you know when he has his web site working. If you live in the Buffalo, New York area, contact Ken if you are interested in classes.
Warning! Joke Follows. Boomer Humor: So far, every newsletter that included a joke elicited a complaint from someone. It seems that some people aren't reading our warning above. If you are a sensitive person, please skip this portion of our newsletter. This week we will tell a Devil joke. If you are a supporter of the Devil don't read any further. With all of that said, here is our joke: A guy dies and having lived a less than virtuous life, he doesn't go to heaven, instead he goes to hell. When he arrives, hell isn't what he anticipated. There is no fire, no brimstone and everything is clean and modern. A man behind a large desk addresses the newcomer and says "welcome to hell. I know this isn't what you expected. You will have to choose how you spend eternity. You will have to choose door number 1, door number 2 or door number 3." With that said, they proceed to open door 1 and the newcomer views a room with a hardwood floor and mile after mile of people standing on their heads. Whenever the people fall over, the Devil's helpers whip them until they are back on their heads. He sees anguish on every face in the room. Then they proceed to door number 2. In this room he sees mile after mile of people standing on their heads on a bed of nails. When they fall over the Devil's helpers whip them until they are back on their heads. He sees pain and suffering on each face in the room. They proceed to the third door. Behind this door, they see mile after mile of people standing up to their neck in the most vile, foul smelling sewage that you could imagine while eating donuts and drinking coffee. The Devil then asks the newcomer to choose a door for spending eternity. The newcomer says, "Door 1 was bad, but door 2 was probably worse, I think I choose door number 3." With that said, he proceeds to door 3 and starts to wade out into the sewage. Just as he gets situated he hears over a loud speaker "Coffee break's over. Back on your heads."
Boomer sez when you get tired of stringing beads, just remember -- "Coffee
breaks over, back on your heads." Be thankful for what you have
today, it could get worse tomorrow. |

Free Jewelry
Design:![]() With every newsletter
we provide a new jewelry design
from WigJig University
to spur the creative juices. The new design for this newsletter is the design for the Gemstone
& Beads Watches with Bling shown here. The watch bands
for these watches are made with two round bezel findings each supporting an 8mm
gemstone connected to a strand of beads on either side. The watch faces
shown here have a Japanese quartz movement and actually keep very good
time. In the watch on the left, we used 8mm man made ruby
gemstones. In the watch on the right we used 8mm white AAAAA cubic
zirconia gemstones. The strands of beads on either side of the
watch are strung on Soft Touch bead stringing wire.
To
view our instructions for how to make this jewelry item please select
here or select either picture above. This is an advanced
beginners jewelry making project. It requires the ability to use
crimp beads, and to string beads on bead stringing wire with the ability
to make wrapped loops using jewelry wire. In addition, you
will be shown how to set gemstones into simple settings. |
