Jewelry Technique:
This
week's jewelry making technique is a two part technique. The first of
the two techniques that we will discuss will be how to use a commercial
chain, with an existing clasp, like the commercial chains that we sell, with
our bling gemstone pendant settings, some with a smaller hole. In the
pictures below, you can view at far left, that the loop in the end of the
commercial chain is too large to fit into the loop in the pendant setting.
In the picture near-left, you can view using bent closing pliers to gently
squeeze the loop in the end of the chain until the loop is oval. In
the picture near-right you can see that this oval loop fits through the
loops in the pendant setting. In the picture far-right you can view
the chain in its final position.

 Our
second jewelry making technique for this newsletter is an introduction to
our new free video in WigJig Video University on making jewelry with our
WigJig jewelry making tools. In this video, we review the basics of
how to cut wire, how to make a loop in wire, how to straighten wire, and how
to make a wire component on our WigJig tools. For those of you who
aren't totally comfortable with using our WigJig tools, this video will show
how we push the wire while turning the jig and how we start with two pegs in
any pattern that we make, adding pegs as be go. The video is targeted
for beginners to advanced beginners.

Our intention is that this video will be the first of many, although, our

Nostalgia Corner:
  This
week's featured design in our Nostalgia Corner is the design for our Bull's
Eye Wire Earrings with Beads shown here, left and right. Our niece and
videographer, Brittany, likes these earrings and let it be known that she
would like a pair. Fortunately, we had a pair ready to go. So,
to say thank you to Brittany for her hard work in getting WigJig Video
University started, we selected her as Employee of the Month and gave her
the earrings shown at right in recognition of her achievement. It only
seems fitting to designate this design for our Nostalgia Corner.

Boomer Humor:
This joke is a modification of the Joke of the Month for
January 2006 by the Comedy Zone. The joke was originally submitted by
"squiffy". Since the January 2006 joke is the most current joke
of the month on the www.comedy-zone.net
web site one could safely surmise that this contest did not work out for the
Comedy Zone. With all of that said, here is the joke.
A gentleman is employed in New York, on the tourist
double-decker buses there to take tickets in the back of the bus.
Since the driver can't see the passengers boarding the bus, this same
ticket collector is required to ring a bell when it is safe for the driver
to pull away from the curb. One day, this particular ticket
collector gets distracted watching an attractive female passenger board
and accidentally rings the bell too soon. The bus pulls away from
the curb as a gentleman is boarding and the gentleman is killed.
Because there was a death resulting from the ticket
collector's negligence, there is a trial and the man is convicted of
murder. He is sent to prison and placed on Death Row. After
suitable appeals are exhausted, the man is delivered to the Electric
Chair. As they are strapping him into the Electric Chair, he is
asked by the executioner if he has any final wishes. The prisoner
says "Yes. I have one final request. Is that a green banana I
see in your lunch over there? May I have it?" The executioner
gives the prisoner the green banana and the prisoner eats the entire
banana skin and all. At that point they proceed with the execution,
applying 20,000 volts to the prisoner. After a full minute, they cut
the electricity and the prisoner is still alive. The executioner
says to the prisoner "This has never happened before. Was it because
of the green banana?" The prisoner replies "No, I'm just a really
bad conductor."
Here are two quick jokes from the same source.
A chicken and an egg are laying in bed. The chicken
is smoking a cigarette with a satisfied smile on its face while the egg is
frowning and looking slightly annoyed. The egg mutters "Well I guess
that answers that riddle."
You might be a redneck if you think taking a bubble bath
starts with eating beans for dinner.
