SpokesDog Boomer for Beads, Jewelry Tools and Jewelry Making Supplies by WigJig Web SiteWigJig News -- AKA Boomer Sez:

Our Spokesdog:  If an insurance company can have a gecko, we have decided that we can have a spokesdog.  Boomer, shown at right, is our spokesdog.  If you select Boomer's picture at right, you will be able to view Boomer at work.

How to Unsubscribe:  If you signed up for our newsletter and then decided you don't want to receive it any more, the proper way to unsubscribe is to select the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every newsletter e-mail or to follow our sign up link above.  On that sign up page we also provide a way for people to unsubscribe.

Shows for 2008:  We don't participate in a lot of shows because we don't have the time to run our WigJig business plus do a lot of travel.  We will be participating in two shows in 2008.  They are the International Gem and Jewelry Show in Tucson February 6-10 and the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee June 5-8.  You can view information on these shows here.  Please note that we won't have a WigJig booth.  We will be demonstrating our WigJig Tools at the Soft Flex Booth.  If you will be attending either show, please stop by the Soft Flex Booth and say hello.

Real 1/2 Drilled Freshwater Pearl BeadsNew Products:  Since our last newsletter we have added three new 1/2 drilled Bail Setting for 1/2 Drilled Freshwater Pearl Beadsfreshwater pearls.  These are cultured freshwater pearls in grade AA and AAA and in sizes 6mm and 8mm.  The only color we have these real freshwater pearls in is the basic white color shown at right.  Please select here or select the picture at right to view our selection of these real freshwater pearls.  We also suggest that you consider our sterling silver or gold filled setting for 8mm 1/2 drilled pearl beads.  These settings, like the one shown above-left can be used to make a very professional looking pearl necklace.  Our free instructions for making that necklace can be found here.

Free Instructions for Flemish Spiral Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings and Bracelet Jewelry Making Project Free Jewelry Design:
Alt. Design for Flemish Spiral Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectWith every newsletter we provide a new jewelry design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices.  The new design for this newsletter is the design for the Flemish Spiral Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings and Bracelet shown at right and below.  This is a beginner's jewelry making project and involves making wire components on our WigJig tools using a combination of regular metal pegs and Super Pegs.

For this project, we made three Flemish Spiral wire components using patterns on our WigJig Delphi or Centaur.  You could also make these components on our WigJig Olympus or Olympus Lite.  We also made many figure 8 connectors to connect the wire components and for the bracelet we made a hook clasp.  The beads used in the earrings shown are a combination of 4mm glass crystal beads with 6mm glass crystal beads.

Free Instructions in Beginner's Jewelry Wire Clasp Jewelry Making ProjectJewelry Technique:
This week's jewelry making technique is a discussion on how to make the advanced beginner's clasp used in our Flemish Spiral Bracelet shown above.  You can view this clasp at right.  Making this clasp is an advanced beginner's jewelry making project because it involves wrapping wire around itself.  For those readers who like to make their own findings, this is an excellent project.  Please select the picture above-right, or select here to view our free instructions for making this beginner's clasp.

Free Instructions forSimple Jewelry Wire and Beads Ring Jewelry Making ProjectNostalgia Corner:
Sterling Silver Simple Jewelry Wire & Beads Ring Jewelry Making DesignThis week's featured design in our Nostalgia Corner is the design for our Simple Jewelry Wire and Beads Ring shown left and right.   These rings are an advanced beginners jewelry making project.  To make one of these rings you will need one of our WigJig jewelry making tools, a ring mandrel, a nylon hammer, and the standard jewelry pliers and cutter.   One aspect of this ring design that we failed to mention when we first published this design is that it can be made into a very nice toe ring when you finish the ring without the bead.

Please select here, or select either picture to view our free instructions for making our Simple Ring Jewelry Wire & Beads Ring Project shown here.

Warning! Joke Follows.
This is only a joke.  We tell jokes because we are in favor of smiling, laughing and being happy.  This does not mean that we are opposed to anyone or anything.

If you have ever in your entire life been offended by any joke  -- please skip the below paragraphs.  It is not our intention to offend anyone!  We don't write these jokes, we only re-tell jokes that we have heard on the public radio, television or over the Internet.

Boomer Humor:

These jokes are modifications of jokes posted on the London Daily Telegraph web site in the Speaker's Corner.  The jokes were submitted by readers in London and have been modified to fit here.  If you don't like these jokes, please remember, this is British humor.

A man and a woman are applying for a job at the circus.  The circus manager asks the man to go into the lions cage and teach the lions some tricks and the man says ladies first.  At that the lady goes into the lion's cage and the lions begin to snarl and snap.  The lady takes off all her clothes and goes up to the largest male lion who proceeds to lick her all over.  The circus manager turns to the man and says, "Can you do that?"  The man says "Without question.  Just get those lions out of there and I'll be happy to show you."

Here is one more quick joke:

A man goes into the movies and sits down.  In front of him he sees Boomer sitting in Gary's lap.  As the man watches the movie, he is surprised to see that Boomer cries at the sad parts, laughs at the funny parts, and bites his nails at the scary parts.  After the movie, the man says to Gary, "I am surprised by your dog.  He really seemed to enjoy that movie."  Gary responds "I'm surprised also.  Boomer really didn't like the book."
