I’ve recently realized I’m drawn to the wire
working part of making jewelry now that I’ve been beading for a while. I
saw those great “Money” earrings in one of my beading magazines and
decided that was it – I had to learn how to make those. Your university
spots have really been a huge help in expanding my concept of wire
working and helping me select the tools I need to get a good start. You
cover important but frequently unmentioned info like using leather to
protect certain wire when hardening. Or using a polishing cloth to
retard tarnish before starting to work on wire. Or using step pliers
instead of round nose when possible. If I see a product that I don’t
understand how it might be used, you usually point to a tutorial that
explains it. As Dr Laura said, it’s a fabulous website.
